On the north side of Rocky Point in Stuart lies the Manatee Pocket. Its a great spot to go and eat on the water with your choice of two fabulous restaurants, Manatee Island Bar & Grill, and Shrimper’s. Finz unfortunately closed after eight years, but the Sunshine Wildlife Tours are still departing from there each day. I am sure a new restaurant will will open up there shortly its such a great location. The Manatee Pocket can be accessed by car on A1A between Cove Road and Salerno Road, or by boat.
The menu’s at both places are seafood heavy featuring fresh catch specials, but there is something for everyone on both menu’s. Dress is fairly casual especially in the outdoor seating areas along the water. Food never tastes as good as eating outside with a sea breeze and a little live music, come by and enjoy, you will not be disappointed.
