Ranch Colony, a completely different world

Ranch Colony is located just north of the county line at the end of Mack Dairy Road in Jupiter, but in western Martin County.  Ranch Colony is actually five communities in one.  Sprawling over 2000 acres are 257 home sites, three golf courses and an airport.  The five communities are The Links, Ranch Acres, Tailwinds, Ranch Estates and Old Trail. If you desire privacy you will find it here, the community is almost completely surrounded by preserve areas.  Once inside the gate you will find large lots, golf courses and an airport.  The community has the feel of Old Florida, wild and open.

The Links wraps around the extremely exclusive and understated Dye Preserve Golf Club.  The home sites in The Links are from about three quarters of an acre to about 2 acres.  Many of the homes overlook the Pete Dye championship course, while others prefer the cypress tree buffer area.  In the middle of Colony Way is the clubhouse for the Dye Preserve course, and if it were not for the manicured front lawn you would not even know it was there.

Ranch Estates, my personal favorite, lots sizes are from 20 to 50 acres, designed for true equestrian  and ranch living.  These are real estate homes, with lots of open space to appreciate the majestic nature of many of these homes.  Forty one total home sites.

Ranch Acres, lot sizes from 5 to 12 acres, located on a great walking loop of Ranch Acres Circle. Forty total home sites.  It is similar to Ranch Estates, but more like a junior, more manageable for the individual home owner.

Old Trail, is situated around two courses from Jonathan’s Landing.  The homes are clustered  around the perimeter of the golf courses in seven clusters.  Almost all homes come with a golf course view.  The courses themselves are one championship course designed by Tom Fazio, and one less challenging designed by Arthur Hills.

Tailwinds, an airpark community, with a 2700 foot paved runway.  The is a very special community, where many homes are dwarfed by their personal hangars, and there are more plane taxi ways than actual road ways.

Yes, that’s a runway next to those houses
