Martins Crossing, a few bargains left

Martins Crossing,  a fabulous community built at the absolute height of the market in 2005 and 2006, now offers new buyers great opportunities to purchase almost new construction homes at a nice discount.  Martins Crossing is approximately 630 single family and townhouse sites that wind themselves through preserves and and wetlands.  It seems as if almost all the homes back up to some sort of green space.

The entry to the single family sections of Martins Crossing are off of SE Pomeroy Street in Stuart, and the townhouses from Kanner Highway.  The single family homes start about 1800 square feet under air and go up to just over 3000 square feet under air.  The townhouses start about 1200 sq ft and go up to just under 1600 sq ft under air.  The ammenities include Clubhouse, fitness center, community pool, tennis courts, little children’s play area and acres and acres of of preserve land.

The community is nicely located with easy access to downtown Stuart and the beaches, also quick access to I95 for those who commute.  With prices skyrocketing in Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter, this is a great and more inexpensive alternative to those lovely towns.

Cafe’ Sole’ is an absolute must

About a year ago I was fortunate enough to have a good friend ask if I had ever tried Cafe’ Sole’?  I love to try new things so sure let’s meet there.  Over a year later it never disappoints.  The menu is light, salads, roll-ups and pizza, the interior is bright and open, the staff is warm and welcoming, the outside seating is great with a consistent sea breeze.  The restaurant offers everything you want and expect in a South Florida experience.  The food is super fresh and tasty, the atmosphere is open and welcoming, there is something fantastic on the menu for everyone’s taste, and your get to soak in the best of Florida’s weather and salt air.  Over the year I have become partial to the roll-ups, huge, flavorful and the chicken is so tender and juicy cooked to perfection.  Cafe’ Sole’ is located in the Bluff’s Publix shopping center just on the south side of Publix off of US 1 right on the Jupiter, Juno Beach line.  Its a short stroll to the Juno Beach Pier.

Great Place to enjoy lunch or fish—-Sawfish Bay Park

Sawfish Bay Park is cool little park off of Dixie Highway north of Indiantown Road.  It is located on a little piece of land between the Loxahatchee River and the Intracoastal Waterway.  It unique location offers up great views down the Intracoastal, out the inlet past Jupiter Lighthouse and up the Loxahatchee River or Jupiter Harbour community.

The park has some amazing views, and is a fabulous place to watch the boats go by, clear your head and enjoy the consistent sea breezes.  I love swinging in and enjoying lunch, but it is most frequented by fisherman.  Apparently the combination of river and tides make for a terrific spot to fish, and this park despite its small sizes offers plenty of great fishing spots.  But if all your looking for is a break in your day, come by enjoy some off the best that Jupiter has to offer.

The Best Place to Live Under the Sun is North Palm Beach

I have been a resident of North Palm Beach for over 4 years and I am absolutely in love with it’s location, lifestyle and amenities.

North Palm Beach is located South of Jupiter, East from Palm Beach Gardens and North from West Palm Beach. It’s a very well kept secret spot with population of about 12,600. Minutes away from world famous Singer Island, John MacArthur Park , Juno Beach and Palm Beach Gardens Mall

With such assets as warm weather, sunshine, golf, ocean fishing, boating, sandy beaches and balmy breezes, the Village has much to offer enthusiastic people who are raising families or are looking to retire.

One of my personal favorite communities is “Waterway Condominiums“.  It is divided by 3 different building called Waterway West, Waterway East and Waterway Terrace ( which offer the largest size 2/2 with 1400sq from the three building)

The other two offer 1/1 at 800 sqf and 2/2 at 1100sq f. The community is very well kept,  has beautiful lush landscaping, daily dock perfect for fishing and overlooks North Palm Beach Country Club, two separate outdoor seating for grilling and get together’s, gated pool and a club house.  It has maintenance man 5 days a week to keep this place in a perfect shape. lovers,2  beautiful outdoor seating will gas grills, benches and tables. People are friendly and do get together around big holidays. Pet friendly but aggressive breeds are not allowed.

Located on the intracoastal is the perfect place to watch the yachts sailing to the ocean, The Annual Boat Parade, 4th of July Fireworks from North Palm Beach Country Club and a wonderful place to relax.

If you have any questions about this community, feel free to call me. I have so much more to share !

Ocean Trail, The finest beachfront high-rise community in Jupiter

Ocean Trail, is a set of four 14 story high-rise buildings and one low-rise set along the beach just south of the Jupiter inlet.  Building 100-400 our on the Ocean and building 500 sits just to the west.  Units in these building range in price from the very high 200’s to about 400k.  The community is made up of a master association for the complex and individual minor associations for each building.  My favorites are the ocean front building, arranged in semicircles giving every unit an unobstructed ocean view.  The building have assigned parking underneath in garages as well as ample guest parking outside.  This is also one of the more active tennis communities in the area, 9 hard courts and during season an on site tennis pro to assist matching you with other players of similar ability.

The four ocean front building all have individual pool deck areas and access to the beach.  Each building is on its own schedule on renovations and upgrades.  Each building also features its own pool deck area with beach access.  One of my favorite features is actually off site, neighboring on the south is the Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa.  What is so great about this is if you ever want to host more guests than you can comfortably fit in your home no problem, as many rooms as you need next door.  Its a beautiful resort with super amenities. The resort has its own beach access, as well as Carlin Park just to the south or Jupiter Beach Park just to the north.

The main difference between Ocean Trail and others located in Jupiter, Juno or Singer Island is thew view, completely unobstructed by other buildings.  The community sits between two parks, so your everyday view stretches over the Jupiter inlet into Martin County to the north, and down to the Juno Beach Pier to the south.

There are plenty of differences between the buildings on how often you can rent them out, for further detail feel free to contact me, or just to view unit click here.

Manatee Pocket, great spot to enjoy the day

On the north side of Rocky Point in Stuart lies the Manatee Pocket.  Its a great spot to go and eat on the water with your choice of two fabulous restaurants, Manatee Island Bar & Grill, and Shrimper’s.  Finz unfortunately closed after eight years, but the Sunshine Wildlife Tours are still departing from there each day.  I am sure a new restaurant will will open up there shortly its such a great location.  The Manatee Pocket  can be accessed by car on A1A between Cove Road and Salerno Road, or by boat.

The menu’s  at both places are seafood heavy featuring fresh catch specials, but there is something for everyone on both menu’s.  Dress is fairly casual especially in the outdoor seating areas along the water. Food never tastes as good as eating outside with a sea breeze and a little live music, come by and enjoy, you will not be disappointed.

Shriners 5k run/walk in Sewell’s Point

This morning at 7am the Inaugural Shriners 5k run/walk in support of the Shriners Children’s Hospitals, a great charity.  The race itself was located just south of Ocean Blvd in Sewell’s Point at the little park by the bridge out to Hutchinson Island.  It was my first experience running on Sewell’s Point, and it did not disappoint.  Sewell’s Point is a narrow spit of land in between downtown Stuart and Sailfish Point on Hutchinson Island. I was curious how we would even run 3 miles there, but after the start we made a quick right and we ran up and down a slew of side streets for about 2 miles until we arrived at the southern tip of the peninsula and made the turn for home running north all the way up Sewell’s Point Road back to the tiny little park.  I would definitely run this course again, the neighborhoods are beautiful, we actually ran up and down “hills”.   All in all it was great to get out there and run a new course for a fabulous charity.

Blowing Rocks Preserve, a great experience

Blowing Rocks Preserve located just north of the Martin County line on Jupiter Island, the preserve itself straddles A1A.  Blowing Rocks offer two completely different experiences,  on the west side mangroves and the Intracoastal Waterway, on the east side sea grape forest and the ocean.

The west side offers a butterfly garden, a lagoon boardwalk with views of the Intracoastal and an up close look at the mangrove, an education center, and Lagoon restoration trail.  Along all the trails there are informational signs highlighting the restoration work and the wildlife that can be seen.  I could not get the camera to completely focus, but for the first time I spotted the a golden silk orbweaver.

7 to 8 inch spider, very impressive

On the east side, you will meander through a sea grape forest on your way to the ocean or the dune trail. On a side note, I find sea grapes to be the most friendly tree, you know as soon as you see them the ocean is near by and ready to welcome you.  The beach at Blowing Rocks is like no other in the area, the beach sits on top of millions of years old fossilized coral known as coquina.  Three things to me make this extremely unique, the beach is 5 or 6 feet above the ocean.  The beach has blow holes, so when the surf is up and the waves crash into the rocks water gets shot up into the air sometimes over 30 feet into the air.  Snorkeling in the ocean there is no sandy bottom, the sea floor is full of crags, cracks and caves.  You are sure to see thousands of fish, lots of lobsters and usually a turtle or two.  I have spent a whole morning swimming with with a Loggerhead, and I will share one thing, they fly through the water so you may be huffing and puffing to keep them in sight.

Ranch Colony, a completely different world

Ranch Colony is located just north of the county line at the end of Mack Dairy Road in Jupiter, but in western Martin County.  Ranch Colony is actually five communities in one.  Sprawling over 2000 acres are 257 home sites, three golf courses and an airport.  The five communities are The Links, Ranch Acres, Tailwinds, Ranch Estates and Old Trail. If you desire privacy you will find it here, the community is almost completely surrounded by preserve areas.  Once inside the gate you will find large lots, golf courses and an airport.  The community has the feel of Old Florida, wild and open.

The Links wraps around the extremely exclusive and understated Dye Preserve Golf Club.  The home sites in The Links are from about three quarters of an acre to about 2 acres.  Many of the homes overlook the Pete Dye championship course, while others prefer the cypress tree buffer area.  In the middle of Colony Way is the clubhouse for the Dye Preserve course, and if it were not for the manicured front lawn you would not even know it was there.

Ranch Estates, my personal favorite, lots sizes are from 20 to 50 acres, designed for true equestrian  and ranch living.  These are real estate homes, with lots of open space to appreciate the majestic nature of many of these homes.  Forty one total home sites.

Ranch Acres, lot sizes from 5 to 12 acres, located on a great walking loop of Ranch Acres Circle. Forty total home sites.  It is similar to Ranch Estates, but more like a junior, more manageable for the individual home owner.

Old Trail, is situated around two courses from Jonathan’s Landing.  The homes are clustered  around the perimeter of the golf courses in seven clusters.  Almost all homes come with a golf course view.  The courses themselves are one championship course designed by Tom Fazio, and one less challenging designed by Arthur Hills.

Clubhouse for the 36 holes of Jonathan’s Landings at Old Trail in Ranch Colony

Tailwinds, an airpark community, with a 2700 foot paved runway.  The is a very special community, where many homes are dwarfed by their personal hangars, and there are more plane taxi ways than actual road ways.

Yes, that’s a runway next to those houses
